Consider Cuz's at Pounding Mill on Route 460. Originally Cuz's was built in a barn but new facilities offer good food and plenty of it. Known for steaks the size of hubcabs (really) take your appetite, try the hot crab dip and enjoy. Call before hand as Cuz closes for a winter break.
Eat and Shop?
Exit 7 - Interstate 81 at Bristol. Exit 7 has grown rapidly in the last few years and offers restaurants such as Red Lobster, O'Charley's, Outback, IHOP, Ruby Tuesday, Pals, Chili's, Cracker Barrel, Sonic, all surrounding shopping at Wal-Mart, Lowes, Verizon, Tuesday Morning, Books A Million, Target, PetSmart, Ross, Sam's Club and many others.
Pizza
While there are an abundance of Pizza offerings my favorite is Bella's in Abingdon. Located at 872 E. Main (off exit 19 I-81). I have always had delicious success with their subs and pizzas.
Japanese
Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Lebanon is a fine establishment with a full line of Japanese Foods and a smatering of Chinese as well.
Burgers and Dogs
K&G Restaurant offers the best well cooked burger in town with the Pioneer Restaurant offering the biggest and frankly the best hot dog.
When in Bristol, take exit 7 to Pals. You will not regret the stop.
Salad Bar
The Bonanza Restaurant offers a full salad, soup and food bar. Lots of food for your money here.
Barbeque
The Cliffside in Lebanon has a fine pit smoke barbeque and homemade potato chips that will make your meal.
St. Paul
The Riverside Diner - Excellent Breakfast and Bob Haydock's pick for Alaskan Whitefish on Friday's.
Grundy
The Rainbow Drive - In - Great Burgers, Plate Lunches and Specials - Always Busy
Wardell
The Wardell Store - Want a beer and sandwich? This is the stop. Just off Route 19 past Southwest Virginia Community College.
Brumley Gap
S&W Grocery - Across the road from the Fire Department makes a mean ham and cheese sandwich. Team with a bottle of pop, some chips and spend your change elsewhere. Don't forget to get all the great fishing info from Mike while you are there.
Sugar Grove
Near Marion, Sugar Grove boast the Sugar Grove Diner and let me tell you they make a stop dead burger, great specials and great service. You will have to hunt a place to park when they get busy.
